CAN I USE A GRAPHIC IMAGE FROM A WEB PAGE?
Web pages usually have .GIF or .JPEG graphics that have been optimized for display on your computer. They are low-resolution images that cannot be used in films and screens production.
However, some web site graphic artists have higher-resolution images. Please send us the image you'll have and we'll let you know if its quality is good enough for further print production.

How do I find the resolution of my logo or artwork?
That information is usually available with the person who provided the artwork.
If you have a graphics program that can open your file, it will usually provide this size or resolution information. The Paint program included with Windows 98 Accessories will open .JPEG, .GIF and .BMP files. This program's Image / Attributes menu item will display image size information. Be sure to click on the Pixels radio button to see the actual number of pixels.
Now you could determine resolution with this simple formula: If your graphic image is 600 pixels wide and you estimate that it will be 3 inches wide on your item, then your resolution is 600/3 = 200 dpi.

Colors on your Design
The colour of your logo or artwork is determined by the graphics program used to create the image.
Computer monitors do not show color precisely and the color of your logo may be different from what is shown on the monitor. See the topics on the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM in this section for other important information.

What is the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM?
The idea behind the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM is to allow designers to 'colour match' specific colours when a design enters production stage.
Pantone colors are described by their allocated number. If an artist designed your logo, you might also get the PANTONE color names and numbers for the colors used in the logo.
